At the end of last year, Christoff (46) and his manager Bert suddenly broke up. The schlager singer has not revealed the real reason behind the break. He does now, in Day All.
In September last year, Christoff and his manager Bert separated. The two have worked well together for twenty years. Bert had been the boyfriend of Christoff’s sister Lindsay (44) for a while. When they separated, Bert continued to manage Christoff.
When Christoff and Bert ended their collaboration, Christoff only said: “I had fantastic years with Bert, but I turned 46 and was always dependent on others. Now I want to take my life into my own hands.”
This week the singer gives extra explanation in Dag All. “If it no longer comes from both sides and the trust is gone, it is difficult to work together. That is why I am now taking matters into my own hands,” he says. “I felt squeezed. I realized: I have to save myself.”
His sister Lindsay has since taken over management. The two have agreed that they will only hold business meetings during office hours. Other than that, they’re just brother and sister.
Christoff says that he is now much more in control than before. He will soon even go on a writer’s camp to write his own songs and he wants to start his own record label and help determine the merchandising.
