Chelsea agree to sign young Jamaican striker Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards

Even with the transfer window closed, Chelsea continue to sign new players.

This Saturday there was information about the hiring of young Jamaican Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards from Phoenix All Star.

The Jamaican club have confirmed that the young striker has signed pre-contract terms with Chelsea after weighing several options over the past few months.

Dujuan Richards scored 31 goals and contributed 19 assists for the Phoenix All Star last season and was recently close to joining Newcastle’s academy, having traveled to watch West Ham’s 1-1 draw at St James Park.

However, the player opted to join Chelsea, with several images and videos of the signing of the contract being released on social networks.

The statement on Instagram about the young man’s transfer read:

“On behalf of the Phoenix All Stars Football Academy, I am proud to announce the signing of Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards from Premier League giants Chelsea FC.”

“I am thrilled to be apart of history and know that this is just the first step for Whisper as he will continue to develop into the superstar he is destined to be. Whisper, I’m proud of you. Heart and love every time.”

Dujuan could be in action for the Jamaican national team in the friendly against Trinidad and Tobago this Saturday and Tuesday (14) alongside young Chelsea striker Omari Hutchinson.
