Champion Jeffrey Lami, guide for disabled athletes, joins the “RATP High Level Athletes” program – Sport

Originally from Bondy, Jeffrey started athletics very young at the age of 6. Spotted by the French Athletics Federation, he became a hope of the discipline and won, in 2011, the title of French junior champion. In 2017, the day after the Paralympic Games in Rio, Timothée Adolphe, a blind athlete, called on Jeffrey to become his 400m guide. One of the best hopes of French sprinting at the time, Jeffrey embarked on the adventure and discovered a new facet of athletics. Together they were World (Dubai, 2019) and European (Bydgoszcz, 2021) champions in the 400m T11. He participated in the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2021.

Passionate about this sport, he also obtained a sports educator diploma and worked with young people in athletics clubs and sports associations in the Paris region.

Aged 28, Jeffrey has been a station agent on metro line 5 since October 2022. Proximity is at the heart of its daily missions: it welcomes, informs and advises travellers.
