(REPEAT WITH CORRECT TITLE) (ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 08 – Gianmarco Calleri, former president of Turin and Lazio, has died: he was 81 years old. The Biancoceleste club itself gives the news, with a tweet on its official account. Calleri took over the grenade club in 1994, for 26 billion lire, from Roberto Goveani, then resold the shares in 1997 for 25 billion lire, to the entrepreneur Massimo Vidulich. He was also president and footballer of Lazio.

Back in 1962 he wore the Biancocelesti shirt and returned to the club as president in 1986.

He was one of the creators of the season of salvation from Serie C, starting in 1986/87 from a -9 penalty in Serie B, together with coach Eugenio Fascetti. He contributed to the rebirth of Lazio, which returned to Serie A in 1988, before selling it on 20 February 1992 to Sergio Cragnotti. (HANDLE).
