Beveren has won for the second week in a row in the play-offs for promotion in 1B. It wasn’t easy against Beerschot, but in minute 87 Vukotic scored the three-pointer. Beveren is (for the time being) in the lead next to RWDM.

Beveren has closed the gap on leader RWDM with a hard-fought victory against Beerschot. The home team started the match well and also had the better chances, but after half an hour there was a bit more balance in the match, including a chance for Mbokani and an offside goal.
In the second half, both teams were regularly caught offside. There were no great chances and it remained 0-0 for a very long time.
It was only in the end that a goal was scored. Vukotic relieved Beveren with a header. Beveren is second with 49 points, the same as leader RWDM. The Brussels club will play against Club NXT on Sunday.
