Bayern rooms PSG on Twitter

An official Bayern Munich account on Twitter kindly chambered PSG after the victory (2-0) in the knockout stages of the Champions League on Wednesday and qualification for the quarter-finals.

After the two victories on the ground, Bayern Munich also pays PSG on social networks. The official American and Canadian Twitter account of the Bavarian club has chambered the Parisians by posting a photo of Thomas Müller with a clenched fist in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The choice of the German striker is not trivial since the latter had a slight dispute with Paris. During the 2020-2021 season, Müller had shown his great confidence after the draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League which had reserved PSG for Bayern Munich: “Goodbye”, he had said with a smile.

The Bavarian elimination a few weeks later earned him taunts from France. Last November, he was much more reserved when the draw again decided on a confrontation between the two teams. “Hello Paris, once again, he had launched. Two big teams with great players. Unfortunately, one of them will not be able to go to the next round. This time, no goodbye. I have great respect for Paris, it will be a great duel. See you next year.”

Müller and PSG, a story of chambering

A few hours before the round of 16 return on Wednesday, he returned to this episode of “goodbye” by pleading a misunderstanding on his part about the meaning of these two words. “I understood with my French teammates that France had interpreted my message as: ‘goodbye, you are going out’, he confided on Canal +. But my level of French is not good. I simply wanted say goodbye to the camera. But the interpretation was different. I’m still happy to face Paris, to play against France. I like the French. Maybe they don’t like me anymore. I will still do everything to win tomorrow. I’m not asking that they like me, just that they understand that I didn’t mean to make fun of me.”
