Basketball: the Gimont reserve towards the rise

In his quest for pre-nationality, reserve team of the ESG played a new shock after having disposed of the other co-leader of the group, Pamiers. It was in Vic-Fezensac that Isabelle Laffont’s partners traveled to face a UAV that was still catchy and could completely restart the race for the climb if successful. Nothing came of it and the trio formed by Aurélie Cauffepé (17 rating), Sara Chanoz (16 rating) and Marie Tramont (21 rating) showed the way brilliantly. After a hung first quarter (15-19 for Vic), Julien Noja’s players were able to bounce back (25-11 in the 2nd) before managing the rest well, despite the injury exits of Lola Marin then Marie Tramont. Determined, the Gimontoises showed composure to win with a final score of 71 to 55.

Other victories

With the defeat of Pamiers, Etoile now has two victories in advance, one more step in the structuring of the CTC Gimont-L’Isle-Jourdain-Mauvezin to offer young Gersoises a quality training course, in the line of work undertaken among young people. Work that is bearing fruit, like the very fine victories this weekend for the CTC U13s (80-25 against Colomiers-Tournefeuille), undefeated at the top of their group, but also for the U15s who disposed with the manner of Tarbes (87-59) and who thus took over the lead of their group.
