Pisa, 30 March 2023 – On the tenth day of return to C silveril Cus Pisa, license plate Cosmocare, already promoted to next season’s C gold, plays the second card of the demanding poker match, with Prato, Fucecchio, Montevarchi and Us Livorno, fundamental for the final standings of the championship, which now sees university students in the lead together with Fides Montevarchi. After the success of Prato, the opponent of Sunday, at 18 al PalaCusand the Folgore Fucecchio, just two points behind the pacesetter, with whom the Gialloblù clearly lost in the first leg.
FUCECCHIO – Pallacanestro Folgore, with the Boldrini Selleria license plate, is a first tier team, already a direct opponent of the university students in the promotion two seasons ago, last spring the protagonist of the play-offs for access to the C gold, just missed out in final, in the decisive match with Altopascio. The team, coached this year by Rastelli, two points behind the pacesetters Cus Pisa and Montevarchi, has so far played an excellent championship, overtaking the university students in the first leg, led by the shooters Falchi and Berni (there were no less than 13 triples scored by the hosts in the entire match). Zooming in on the Selleria Boldrini roster, in fact, you can see an expert team, with category and C gold athletes, such as Berni, Falchi, Fantoni (last year at Cus), Gazzarrini, Meucci, Orsini and Tessitori, the latter with experience also in Serie B.
COSMOCARE – Coach’s boys Christian Strong they are returning from an exciting victory, on the field of the Progetto Pallacanestro Prato, a young but highly rated team, especially at home. Without Benini and Spagnolli, from whom they usually pass most of the rebounds and conclusions from below, the university players showed off a great defense and a good scoring streak, with captain Siena, Fourthtop scorer, returned to promotion season performance in C gold, with Nape e Folderswhich confirms the moment of grace under the scoreboards, and with the important defensive contribution of Corbic.
In a season now projected to the next C gold, a success against Fucecchio, one of the few teams that beat the Cussini in the first leg, will make the morale of a group that is gradually becoming more and more close-knit even more solid.
