Basketball-Bundesliga medi Bayreuth: Shareholders will take over shares

Basketball Bundesliga club medi Bayreuth wants to present a new group of shareholders in the near future. As the Upper Franconians announced on Wednesday, the long-standing sole shareholder Carl Steiner, who will sell his shares by the end of June at the latest, will transfer them to several shareholders. “In this context, not only will Carl Steiner’s shares be taken over, but the subscribed capital of BBC Bayreuth Spielbetrieb GmbH will also be increased through further financial contributions from the new shareholders,” the association announced.

Entrepreneur Steiner had announced that he would retire from bottom of the table on June 30th. Since 1984 he had held various positions with the Bayreuth team. “Thanks to the commitment of many people in the background, the new shareholders are optimistic that they will be able to report the final implementation in the coming weeks,” the association’s statement continued.
