On Thursday the Azzurri will play in Tokyo against Japan
ROME, MARCH 12 – Italy’s feat of baseball at the 2023 World Classic. The Azzurri, by beating the Netherlands 7-1 in Taiwan, gained access to the quarterfinals, for the second time in five editions of the tournament. After the success against Cuba and the defeat against the hosts and Panama, Italy managed not only to win against the Dutch but also to obtain a sufficient score to land, thanks also to a favorable combination of results from the other competitors of the group, to the knockout stage. The next obstacle will be Japan, which awaits the Italian team led by Mike Piazza next Thursday at the Tokyo Dome.
