Badminton Association Almere organizes Trofea Junior Master Almere 2023

Back

Badminton Association Almere will soon organize the TROFEA JUNIOR MASTER TOURNOOI 2023 on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April 2023 (part of the Junior Master Circuit). The Junior Master tournament at Badminton Association Almere has not taken place in the past 3 years due to the corona crisis, so we are happy to welcome many participants again this year in our Raggers sports complex!

(BV Almere)

This edition of the tournament is again sponsored by Trofea Sportprijs in Almere. We are pleased that our many years of cooperation have once again resulted in sponsorship of this tournament in 2023.

The tournament consists of the following categories:
• Group U17 : those born in 2007 or later
• Group U15: those born in 2009 or later
• Group U13 : those born in 2011 or later
• Group U11 : those born in 2013 or later

U11
The number of participants in the U11 category is unfortunately limited. There will therefore only be played in the parts JE and ME, with both parts being played in group form. Among the boys, Arnav Behera of Ibain is the highest ranked player and among the girls it is Dakshita Goyat of OSM Badminton. We hope to get more registrations from the youngest players in the future.

U13
Fortunately, all parts are filled here, especially with the JE. There will be played 4 groups and eventually a elimination schedule to come to the winner. Sri Nidhi Nandam of Martinus Amstelveen is one of the major contenders among the girls. She is placed 2nd in the single and mix. And placed 1st in the doubles. She faces strong competition from Minh-Anh Bui of BC Drop Shot, who placed 1st in the single and mix. In the men the chances are more spread, but Yatharth Aggarwal of BV Amsterdam has the 1st placement in the single.

U15
Our own player Quinlen Chau is highly rated among the boys to win prizes. He placed 1st in both singles and doubles. Nina Bage from BC ‘T Roat is a favorite among the girls. She placed 1st in both the girls’ doubles and the mix. In the single as 2nd behind Neha Nandam from Martinus Amstelveen. Almouder Sara Staats is placed 2nd in the girls’ doubles together with Mette Kool van Duinwijck.

U17
Most registrations have been made in this category, which means that playoffs are even played in the boys’ singles before the elimination schedule starts. Dion Hoegen of BC Oosterhout is a favorite with the boys. He is placed 1st in the singles and doubles. In the mix he is placed 2nd. Almouder Joély Cornet also participates and is placed 2nd in the double. He plays the mix with fellow Almouder Gwenyth Tan.
