ATP – Miami > Alcaraz perfect then a little laborious

First author of a high quality match, Carlos Alcaraz scared himself a bit, relaunching his opponent Dusan Lajovic when the match seemed to be over. In the end, Carlos wins in straight sets (6−0, 7–6 (5)). This laborious end can give ideas and hope to his opponent in 8th final, a certain Tommy Paul.

Beaten 6-0 in a first round in TGV format, Lajovic was quickly broken at 1 everywhere in the second. The match was turning into a show and Dusan was really starting to get annoyed. Fortunately, he then saved a double break point and then managed to really get into the game.

Opposite, Carlos was racing in the lead without having conceded the slightest break point. But at 5 to 4 at the time of conclusion, the Spaniard who had not seemed nervous cracked by committing two gross faults. Lajovic picked up the score before taking the lead for the first time in the match (6-5).

In the tie-break, Carlos restored intensity to make the difference 6 points to 2 before completely foiling but still managing to conclude (7-5).

This day, which should have been a formality, was therefore not as simple as expected. Carlos, as his coach would say, still has a lot of work to do to achieve a form of perfection.
