Artificial Intelligence is used by Femsa, DHL and Volkswagen – El Sol de México

Guadalajara, Jal.- DHL, Volkswagen and Femsa are some of the companies that already use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to streamline their logistics and palletizing processes.

Patricia Nagle, president of TeamViewer Americas, a technology and remote connections company, assures that this not only generates savings for companies, but also improves employee productivity by empowering them with the use of AI or augmented reality technologies.

For example, one of the latest tools developed by the company are lenses that have the ability to detect, register, and place items in certain spaces, at the customer’s convenience. Said device has voice recognition and a camera that can be used to make video calls or better control employee processes.

“DHL has transformed their business through our technology; they are in all industries, consumers and products, in all these sections vertically, we are also in the retail market”, the director mentioned to El Sol de México.

TeamViewer was born in 2005 as a company to provide a connectivity platform to remotely access, control, manage, monitor and repair devices of any kind, from laptops and mobile phones to industrial machines and robots.

Although its services are free for private use, the company has around 620,000 subscribers worldwide, just as it has been installed on just over 2.5 billion computers since its founding.

Nagle acknowledged that even with this track record, it has been difficult for the company to communicate to its partners and customers that it has other types of business solutions. In the field of AI, the board stated that they have tried to combine it with existing TeamViewer products.

“There are a plethora of opportunities, all companies are using AI, so we do, but it’s more to complement our core solutions. It doesn’t mean, for example, having a device there, but rather, improving our capabilities for reporting or reading codes,” he added.

But not all of TeamViewer’s potential customers are from the manufacturing or consumer sectors, as there is also great leverage in the automotive industry, especially with the Formula One team, Mercedes Benz.
