Arteta opens the door to 7 players

Arsenal is focused on winning the Premier 19 years later, but without losing sight of next season, in which they will return to the Champions League after no less than six years of absence. For this moment Arteta wants to reinforce the team with several names, but first they must try to lighten the squad, for which he has given a list of seven namesaccording to The Sunwho would have no place in the team.

It is headed by Nicolas Pépé, who happens to be the most expensive signing in the club’s history (he paid 80 million for him in 2019 to Lille) and at the same time possibly his biggest failure. He is currently on loan at Nice, but he will still have a year left on his contract and a very high salary that they need to get rid of.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Sambi Lokonga, Nuno Tavares, Pablo Mari, Cedric Soares and Alex Runarsson complete the list. Although the club does not expect big offers for any of them, but as they are the players who count the least for the Spanish coach, they have the door wide open to leave a gap in the squad and be able to scratch some money for them.
