One on one was the match in Medellín between Nacional and Millonarios, who sought to shake the top of the table. In the end, those of Alberto Gamero did the business getting a valuable point, with an alternate payroll (Álvaro Montero was the only regular starter who was on the court).

With this result, Millionaires reached 10 points and climbed to fifth position after being eighth, while Nacional lost the possibility of being the leader and dethroning América de Cali. The purslane have 13 points and are second in the standings.

The Colombian soccer classic was intense from the first minutes and with back and forth actions. In the initial stage, Nacional had clear possibilities. In the complement the story was different and Millonarios wanted to go to the front. In the end, a 0-0 score that did not do justice to the show they put on.

After 2 minutes, Juan Carlos Pereira put in a pass for Andrés Murillo, who played as a winger on the left, and failed to connect. Nacional’s response was almost automatic and at 4′, Dorlan Pabón tried a shot from outside the area that went wide.

As the 19th minute elapsed, Pabón himself sent a pass into space, behind the central defenders, which, if it weren’t for the great save by Álvaro Montero, could have ended in a great goal. It all happened after an impressive ride by Tomás Ángel and a “point-blank” shot that the visiting goalkeeper deflected.

The purslane continued to score with the best offensive actions and through Andrés Felipe Román they tried again, around 22′. Great individual action by the Brazilian Jader Barbosa da Silva on the left and after a change of front, Yerson Candelo enabled the ex-Millionaires, who tried to hurt Montero. The ball passed almost touching the vertical.

Paulo Autuori’s team searched for him in various ways but ended up crashing into a wall led by Óscar Vanegas. Before going to rest, Pabón tried again in the middle distance, after a corner kick from Candelo.

In the second half the scenario was different. Millionaires came out with impetus and wanted to stand up, putting Nacional on the ropes. Jader Valencia became important with the game on the left wing and looked for it by partnering with Fernando Uribe. Nothing came of it.

With the passing of the minutes, Nacional shook off the pressure and came back to the Montero estate. Around 78′, Andrés Murillo saved Millonarios after a kick from Jader, in a counterattack action that started with Danovis Banguero on the left and which Dorlan Pabón tried to define after the center Ángel. The albiazul defender ended up deflecting the ball after the Brazilian’s shot that was destined for a goal.

The Ooh! exploded at the Atanasio Girardot with a play that almost ended in an own goal by Vanegas. Shot that crashed into the defender, Montero patted and ended up saving Israel Alba, after the rebound that Nacional captured in the area. End of heart attack in Medellín.

In the end, a 0-0 scoreline that didn’t change the outlook much in the standings, but it did set up a blow to Gamero’s men who hadn’t added many minutes in the league. With this valuable point, Millonarios will begin their trip to Brazil to seek qualification against Mineiro in the Copa Libertadores.
