Finally the time has come: After Angelique Kerber (35) waited patiently for her baby after announcing her pregnancy in the summer of 2022, she was allowed to welcome her daughter to this world on February 25th, 2023. She shared this with her fans with a black and white photo of the family of three. Three hands can be seen on it: those of Angelique, her partner Franco Bianco and those of their baby.

Angelique Kerber reveals her baby’s name
The new mother writes under the photo that it is the most beautiful and overwhelming feeling to finally have her with you. In her post, the German tennis ace also reveals her daughter’s beautiful name: The little one listens to Liana.
In August 2022, Kerber canceled her participation in the US Open “for the best possible reason”. She had also made it public on Instagram that she was having her first baby. Although she wanted to take part, the tournament was simply unfair with “two against one”. She now wants to take a break from tennis.
Angelique Kerber is planning a comeback soon
Kerber is definitely enjoying the time with her daughter for now, but is planning a tennis comeback soon, as she made clear to “Stern” a few months ago: “I want to return as soon as possible”. Her role model: colleagues like Serena Williams (41). They would have shown her that “being a mother and a place high up in the world rankings are not mutually exclusive”.
