The four Bike Races will go hand in hand with the Gobik jersey
Gobik has designed and produced the official jersey of the 12th Andalucía Bike Race by Garmin, from February 21 to 26, thus becoming the first race that the brand will wear within the full Bike Race calendar, with a stop at La Rioja, Asturias and Catalonia in the coming months.
“This is a much-sought agreement on our part, we must not forget that Octagon, promoter of this calendar, is one of the most important organizers in Spain” begins by explaining Gino Dona, Gobik’s Brand Manager.
For the Andalucía Bike Race, Gobik has designed up to four jerseys. The first will be part of the welcome pack for each participant, the second will identify the leading couple during the six stages, the third will be dressed by the best time in the Garmin segment and the fourth will be on sale through the different Gobik channels (online and retail). ), combined with other pieces from his own collection.
“The Andalucía Bike Race is undoubtedly the star event of this calendar and is among the eight best in the world in a calendar with the UCI brand. Great European and Spanish teams come here, some dressed by us, which means a very beneficial synergy for the brand” concedes Gino Dona.
Regarding the agreement with Gobik, Aitor Jiménez, director of Events at Octagon Esedos, affirms that “it is great news to have reached an agreement, since Gobik is one of the most powerful textile companies nationwide and there are many cyclists who come to our events that wear your brand. In this way, we begin a synergy with a national reference brand that is also a reference for the majority of those who attend the Bike Race by Octagon Esedos”.
A calendar for the whole year
Let’s remember that the Bike Races are MTB stage tours that for this year already have four scheduled dates, an aspect that Gino Dona values very positively: “With this agreement, we are present at a BTT stage tour approximately every two months, for more than half a year. It is a great way to accompany our fans”.
The most emblematic of the circuit will open the fire, the Andalucía Bike Race by Garmin, one of the tests that are part of the UCI MTB Marathon calendar that the highest cycling body created a year ago with eight tests around the world. There will be six stages between the provinces of Jaén and Córdoba, bringing a great international participation.
From May 13 to 15, La Rioja Bike Race presented by Pirelli will return to the scene for the eighth year. The Riojan tours, added to the region’s gastronomy, tend to be great claims, given the circumstance that one of Gobik’s global ambassadors, Carlos Coloma, participates in the creation of the tours.
Already in July, from 1 to 3, the MMR Asturias Bike Race arrives with Oviedo as the hub of operations, while the Catalunya Bike Race will be from September 30 to October 2, on the threshold of autumn in a land as beautiful as La Cerdanya and its capital Puigcerdà, in the heart of the Pyrenees, with paths selected by the also Olympic medalist, José Antonio Hermida.
