BOLASPORT.COM – The performance of the Malaysian men’s singles, Ng Tze Yong, actually experienced an anticlimax after defeating Viktor Axelsen at the 2023 All England Open.
After making a big surprise by overthrowing the world badminton king, Axelsen, Ng Tze Yong unexpectedly appeared to be sluggish.
Malaysia’s men’s singles, ranked 28th in the world, lost easily in the quarter-finals of the All England Open 2023, Friday (17/3/2023) yesterday.
He lost two straight games with a crushing score of 11-21, 11-21 to China’s unseeded player, Li Shi Feng.
The defeat was clearly very contradictory to the big result when they beat Axelsen through a battle of three games.
Ng was even able to steal the first game before posting a victory over the top seed and defending champion, 21-15, 9-21, 23-21.
Ng Tze Yong admitted, his anticlimactic appearance after making Axelsen fall down was not affected by a decrease in physical condition or the like.
“No, I don’t feel anything has decreased (stamina, red),” said Ng Tze Yong, quoted by BolaSport.com from the New Straits Times.
“It’s a loss, it’s a normal loss,” he added.
