Aimar Aiartzaguena, from Durango Judo, was proclaimed yesterday Euskadi junior champion in the -81 kg category. This victory gives him the pass to participate in the qualifying round for the northern sector, a test in which the athletes who enter the final phase of the Spanish Championship, which will take place in Iruñea on March 18, are decided.
Aiartzaguena won the gold after holding a “very serious competition and being far superior to the rest of his rivals”, they highlight from his club.
For her part, her teammate Deniba Konare has been called up by the Spanish team to participate in the Junior European Cup in Coimbra (Portugal), on the 25th of this month.
