Achraf Hakimi faces serious allegations in France. A 24-year-old accuses the former Borussia Dortmund player of raping her. The public prosecutor’s office has initiated proceedings.
Dhe Moroccan soccer player Achraf Hakimi from Paris Saint-Germain is on suspicion of rape in the focus of the French judiciary. As the German Press Agency learned from the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office on Friday, investigations were initiated against the 24-year-old on Thursday evening after a survey.
The process can ultimately lead to criminal prosecution if investigators see sufficient evidence against the suspect. Otherwise, they can also discontinue the procedure. Hakimi’s lawyer Fanny Colin had told the newspaper “Le Parisien”: “The allegations are false.” In a letter from Friday, from which the newspaper quoted, the lawyer spoke of an “attempted blackmail”.
A 24-year-old woman told police she was raped by Hakimi last weekend. She drove an Uber to his home in Boulogne on February 25. There Hakimi is said to have kissed her against her will on the mouth, pulled up her clothes, kissed her breasts and penetrated her with a finger. The woman finally pushed the professional back with her foot and alerted a friend, who then picked her up.
