The first opponent of the day was Judo Club Nippon St. Gallen. After 5 fights, the team of the Judo Club St. Gallen_Gossau was 2:3 behind. Thus, the last fight decided which team was allowed to emerge as the winner. David Pakic made his debut. He had to admit defeat against the experienced fighter from Nippon.
Thus the first encounter was lost with 4:8 victory points. In the second encounter against the Judo Club Uster, our young team showed strong fights and after victories by Azita Bold, Ivan Matej Gjorgiev, Ramona Stucki, Spencer Reichardt and Andri Schmied, victory was clear. In the end there was a clear 10:2 win. The last encounter against the Wetzikon-Weinfelden team was again very close.
Azita and Ivan Matej were able to win their fights and still the JCSG was 4:6 behind in the last fight. Gian Luca Schmied showed a very committed fight against Lester Graf from Wetzikon. After three minutes he won the fight and there was a fair 6:6 draw.
Due to the better balance in the rating points, the Judo Club St. Gallen is currently in second intermediate place. In the final round on June 24th, the same opponents will again compete for the championship title, which would definitely be possible on a very good day.
