The second part of the “Ibsa next gen cup” kicks off today with 16 under-19 teams from Serie A basketball clubs. After the first concentration held in Pesaro last November, the ranking sees Varese Basketball still with zero points. The title will be awarded in the Final Eight in Naples from 10 to 12 April
VARESE – “Ibsa next gen cup” starting today until Sunday at the Blm group arena in Trento and at the Marchetti sports hall in Rovereto. 16 teams competing under 19 of Serie A basketball clubs. “After winning a great challenge with the Frecciarossa Final Eight in Turin, we are preparing for this event with the aim of continuing to work on young people thanks also to the great work of the regional Fip led by Mauro Pederzolli – says Marco Aloi, Lega events manager basketball -. An important event that we want to gain more and more people’s attention: for this reason we wanted free admission to allow everyone, starting from schools, to enjoy this show”.
After the first concentration held in Pesaro last November, the provisional ranking after the first three days is as follows: group A is led by Carpegna Prosciutto Papalini Pesaro (6 points), Bertram Yachts Derthona Tortona (6 points), NutriBullet Treviso Basket (4 points), Pallacanestro Trieste (4 points), Banco di Sardegna Sassari (2 points), Unahotels Reggio Emilia (2 points), Varese Basketball (0 points), Happy Casa Brindisi (0 points). In group B the leaders are Dolomiti Energia Trentino (6 points),
EA7 Emporio Armani Milano (4 points), Umana Reyer Venezia (4 points), Tezenis Verona (4 points), GeVi Napoli Basket (4 points), Germani Brescia (2 points), Givova Scafati Basket (0 points), Virtus Emil Banca Bologna (0 points). At the end of the four days of Trento and Rovereto the eight participants of the will be defined Final Eight which will assign the title to Naples from 10 to 12 April.
