The process towards the Conade 2023 Nationals continues to advance steadily in Baja Californian women’s basketball, which has now decided to intensify the concentration in Tijuana.
The teams of the 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 categories worked this weekend from the stave of the Lázaro Cárdenas Federal High School, to strengthen the strategies prior to the next season, the Regional Macros to be held in March.
“The objective is to bring them together and unify the system that we want to play towards the Regional Macro, both defensive pressures and systems in transition,” explained Juan Álvarez Anguiano, coach of the 05-06 team of the Institute of Sports and Physical Culture (INDE BC ).
Specific throw-in plays and under the basket were also part of the weekend’s training, with the aim of establishing the same game idea for both teams, and that later they played a friendly match between the two to apply what was instructed.
Álvarez said that there is still one last “cut” for both teams, which so far have 15 elements, and thus specify the selection of 12 players, who will travel to the next stage in the state of Chihuahua from March 23 to 26.
Once the stage of the Macro Regionals is over, the maximum youth sports fair will be competed, the Conade Nationals, in which basketball will have as its home the main venue, the state of Tabasco.
