Without permission? Puerto Rico could have multiple casualties for the World Classic

The alarms go off in Puerto Rico! Despite confirming to his coaching staff a few days ago, the Team Rubio has not received the permits of the players who could participate in the World Baseball Classic 2023, which will start in March.

Less than a week before the deadline to announce the official rosters of each team that will see action in the contest, the Puerto Ricans have just confirmed only five players for the next edition of the ball competition, in accordance with the General Manager, Joey Solá.

Puerto Ricans are expected to once again be part of the generation that competed in the 2017 award when they won the runner-up against the United States.

Javier Báez, Carlos Correa and José Berríos are some pieces that are already preparing to defend the Team Rubio this year, but other players still aren’t guaranteed to play the World Baseball Classic.

“At the moment we do not have ‘red flags’ with any player, but around 30% still do not have their permits, although that has been the tone for this edition”declared the manager to the Primera Hora portal.

Solá has repeatedly acknowledged that the MLB has been a “this” when confirming the permissions of the players who will participate, but they remain calm since it is something that is happening with the other teams. “I brought him a concern because I have noticed that the process has been slow”added to The new day.

It is hoped that the leader Yadier Molina I can count on a large part of the Puerto Ricans who live in the Major Leagues. After a couple of runners-up in recent editions, Puerto Rico returns as one of the great candidates in the race.

The Dominican Republic and Venezuela are other teams that have also had problems with their players from the Big Top. Nelson Cruz, General Manager of the quisqueyanos, announced a few days ago that the national team does not have permission until 18 bigleaguers.

It should be noted that the Puerto Ricans will share Pool D together with the Venezuelan team and the Dominicans, other favorites for the upcoming tournament.
