Without Doncic: Another Mavericks victory with Irving – Butler’s spectacular game winner

After moving to the Dallas Mavericks, basketball player Kyrie Irving was again the top scorer for the Texans. In his second game in the Dallas jersey, the newcomer had 25 points, six rebounds and five assists in the 122-114 with the Sacramento Kings on Friday (local time). Dallas, still without the injured Luka Doncic and international Maximilian Kleber, is fourth in the Western Conference. It remains to be seen when Doncic will be ready for his return – but there is hope that the Slovenian will already be fit when they meet again in Sacramento on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, Daniel Theis is working his way back to his old strength after his comeback. The DBB center scored six points in the Indiana Pacers’ 104-117 loss to the Phoenix Suns, also collected two rebounds and blocked a throw. For the Suns, Deandre Ayton (22 points), Devin Booker (21) and Chris Paul (19) shone in the absence of new signing Kevin Durant, who was also injured.

Butler’s spectacular finish – Celtics beat Hornets

The finish in the tight duel between Houston and Miami was spectacular. 0.3 seconds before the end, Jimmy Butler scored the game winner after an alley-oop pass to 97:95. The Heat had had the play since the Corona Bubble, as head coach Erik Spoelstra revealed: “It took us about three years to get back to it. That’s one of those advantages of the whole time we had in the bubble .”

Also on Friday night: The New York Knicks lost 108:119 at the Philadelphia 76ers, Isiah Hartenstein scored six points. New York is seventh in the Eastern Conference. And: The Celtics remain the measure of all things in the East. Once again led by Jayson Tatum (41 points), Boston beat the Charlotte Hornets 127-116.
