Winning debut for Estudiantes de Formosa

Estudiantes debuted with victory in the Federal League by beating El Tala de Corrientes 85-78. Jonhatan Monzón with 27 points was the top scorer. Leonel Rodríguez Seu was the local standout with 24.

The team from Formosa lost Tobías Gómez and Franco Chir at the last moment (they were not qualified) but despite this they started dominating the game with Sergio Mora as the standard-bearer, (six points in that set). In the visit, for his part, Jonhatan Monzón began to gravitate.

In the second ten minutes, those led by Horacio Brun found a little oxygen in Cárdenas, who coming from the bench was important, but the locals punished by three through Sigel, Rodríguez and Cáceres to go to the long break up by seven.

On the way back from the changing rooms, Estudiantes maintained the advantage, holding onto Rodríguez and Medina. However, the visit adjusted the defense and a couple of good offenses put him in front of the scoreboard by the minimum (59-60) after the three-pointer from Dogliotti.

At the beginning of the final quarter, the people from Corrientes established the maximum of six points but it was there that the entire repertoire of Javier Cáceres, Sergio Mora and Leo Rodríguez appeared, turning the result around and winning at home.
