Will Big Girls get a second season? A tweet rekindles the hopes of fans

The Prime Video series inspired by Penny Marshall’s film has not yet been renewed, but something is moving and there are those who think that the announcement of season 2 may be around the corner.

For months, viewers who have been passionate about a Winning girlsthe series of Prime Video inspired by the 1992 film of the same name directed by Penny Marshallare waiting for news on a hypothetical second season. The historical sports series, although considered for a rather niche audience, has received high praise from critics. But so far, Amazon’s streaming video service has not commented on a possible one renewal. A tweet posted on Prime Video’s official Twitter page, however, has rekindled fans’ hopes that they wondered if an announcement is therefore just around the corner.

Will Winning Girls 2 be there? The suspicious tweet

“Spring training is officially underway,” tweeted Prime Video posting a gif featuring the stars of Winning girls. Naturally many fans wondered if that meant a second season had been officially confirmed. But the streaming video service didn’t give further explanations. Deadlineciting its own sources, claims that the post in question was written simply to celebrate the start of the Major League Baseball spring season. But, with fans of Winning girls who have been waiting for news on the fate of the series for more than six months now, it is legitimate to straighten the antennas.
