A child who was injured in the hand this afternoon was transferred to Cannizzaro in Catania by helicopter in the evening.
The child, according to what is learned, was playing outside the house when he found an unexploded firecracker which, unfortunately, exploded while he was holding it in his hand.
The boy was rescued by 118 and transported to the “Guzzardi” in Vittoria; here, the doctors, given the seriousness of the situation, decided to transfer the boy to Catania.
Investigations are underway by the police to ascertain what happened.
