The Red Bull Racing team will be hunting for title prolongation next season. The Austrian racing team does that with a new weapon in the form of Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian will fill the role of third driver and Max Verstappen is happy that Ricciardo has returned to the team.
Ricciardo was still a driver for the McLaren team last season, but his contract was terminated after the season due to disappointing results. He soon found shelter with his former employer Red Bull Racing. The Australian driver will spend a lot of time on the sidelines this year, but it is expected that he can be of great value.
Reigning world champion Max Verstappen is also happy with the arrival of Ricciardo to the team. The Dutch Red Bull driver speaks highly of the international media: “His smile and his attitude definitely add something to the team. He is always professional and he is a very nice guy to work with. Not only for me as a teammate, but for the whole team. At the factory they will build on his experience. He’s been in the sport for a long time and he’s a race winner. So we’re definitely happy to have him here again.”
