The Proton-M rocket with the Block DM-03 upper stage launched the Elektro-L 4 satellite, which weighs less than two tons, into geostationary orbit on February 5. It is the fourth member of the series of weather monitoring satellites – whether in space or in the atmosphere. The latest satellite from this series will settle above the 166th degree of east longitude.
