TOCA Football scores first goal in Mexico – El Sol de México

A soccer ball will shoot through the wall, which must be kicked by a user in the direction of a screen where the photo of an opponent is shown to eliminate him, this process is repeated until there is a winner. This and other games are offered at TOCA Social, a new entertainment concept born in London that will arrive in Mexico this year through Ventura Entertainment.

The largest park operator in Mexico will invest 100 million dollars over the next 10 years to build 20 entertainment complexes that offer an interactive experience that combines soccer, fun, technology, and gastronomy. The idea was developed by TOCA Football Inc in England as a training tool for high-performance players and children, but it soon evolved into an entertainment concept that has been in high demand in the British capital and will be brought to the country under the model franchise.

“It is a very large sports bar concept, with a capacity of between 18 and 22 boxes, which are modules that fit up to 10 people to play this concept,” Guido Benassini, CEO of Ventura Entertainment, told El Sol de México.

Each complex, said the manager, will be built in a space of around 2,500 square meters. In each of these boxes it will be possible to receive groups of families or friends who, for an hour, will be able to choose from a wide variety of games and challenges to meet with a ball that will be shot with a speed and angle according to the level chosen by the users. .

“TOCA Football’s patented technology throws the ball at you depending on your level, we also have eight side cameras in each box, so the ball’s trajectory is 99.9 percent certain. It becomes an interactive and fun topic, in which you don’t have to be an expert in soccer, just hit the ball”, commented Benassini.

Mexico will be the first country in Latin America to have this concept and Monterrey will be the first city to have a TOCA Social, towards the end of this year. By 2024, the company plans to open the second branch in Mexico City and thereafter open two or three complexes a year.

But the CEO of Ventura said that these developments could be increased depending on the success, in order to have a presence in all the important cities of the country.

The manager considered that the entertainment sector is one of the most promising for investments in Mexico after the confinement due to the health crisis.

“We see a market that returns after the pandemic, which was a hard time for everyone, and today there is an interest in going out, living together and socializing, and this type of business is what we think the market is looking for,” he said.
