Relatives and victims of insecurity and violence in Rosario held a new demonstration on Monday to return to their claims, with candles and a camp in front of the provincial government, where they warned that they will chain themselves if they do not have answers.

Under the slogan “Let’s illuminate Rosario”, the mobilization began at 8:00 p.m. many people promised to settle in San Martín square (Santa Fe between Dorrego and Moreno) and even at the doors of the official building to have the attention of “the entire political arch”, which they blame for the critical situation.

Ana María, mother of Sebastián “Oso” Cejas, the young man murdered in a robbery in front of the Spanish hospital, was one of those who led the protest and complained in statements to the local radio station Channel Three: “Nobody does anything, they keep us from here to there with promises and nobody keeps them, we are tired.”

He expressed his pain by pointing out: “I cannot go through the Spanish hospital. Where our children fell, we no longer pass”. And he added: “People are afraid, you go out and you don’t know if someone is coming who thought of shooting and killing as if nothing had happened.” But he said that there is “a vote of confidence in Minister Brilloni”, recently assumed in Security of the province and whom they know from when he was secretary.

Other protesters expressed that “they all have to go because they are not prepared” with the argument: “We want a city of peace and they are killing us in the streets.” For this reason, they demanded “the entire arc of politics” to commit to the claim of victims and relatives and launched a call for leaders to come to the camp this Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. with the warning that otherwise they will be chained in the Interior.

“The situation and meetings with promises are no longer tolerated,” sentenced from the demonstration in the center of the city, which was organized after a new series of attacks and homicides in Rosario, which led to changes in the leadership of the Ministry of Security of the province last Wednesday.

In this context, Micaela, the mother of Candelaria, the girl who died last Christmas after a stray bullet hit her head in Iriondo at 3900, said that “there are still no answers” and asked “Let the prosecutors move.” In addition, he pointed against the provincial government, argued that “they turn a deaf ear” and sentenced that “you can no longer live like this.”

“The march is to demonstrate for all the projects that we presented and we did not get a response, for the laws that we know were granted and are not being put into operation,” he said.
