The first tournament of the year for the badminton section of the MJC Le Delta took place on Saturday February 18 in the Malik-Cherchari gymnasium.
About thirty players evolved during a morning by mixed teams, an opportunity to find some of the licensees on a leisure competition.
The badminton section has registered this year about 45 practitioners aged 15 to over 70 who train three times a week in a fun way, allowing everyone to maintain their physical fitness.
The president of the MJC Le Delta, Jean-Claude Victor, leads this section which has been active for more than fifteen years. He also plans to create a volleyball section next year, a sport that is not yet established in the town.
The association has several vocations, sporting, cultural and leisure, and is strong of about fifteen sections, registering a total of 230 members. All these activities allow the MJC to diversify and share practices with people of all generations.
As part of the twinning with Winsen in Germany, the badminton section will leave next June to play some friendly tournaments against the German team.
Training: Mondays from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday from 8 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m., Malik-Cherchari gymnasium.
