Red Bull Salzburg have signed Lukas Ibertsberger from the cooperation club FC Liefering. The 19-year-old left-back signed until June 2025 but will continue to play for second division side Liefering for the time being.
Lukas Ibertsberger is already the third member of the Ibertsberger family at Salzburg. Father Robert Ibertsberger, currently a non-club coach, played for the “Bulls” from 1996 to 1999 and also made it into the national team during this time. Uncle Andreas, Robert’s younger brother, worked for Salzburg from 2001 to 2004.
