Saint-Brieuc: the Diener brothers qualified for the French minimal judo championship – Saint-Brieuc

On Sunday February 5, at the Salle de Steredenn, the Amicale laïque judo hosted the regional minimal championship. Jean Diener, dismissed from the club, therefore fought at home. Despite the pressure due to his favorite status, he flew over his category of less than 46 kg.

He thus joins his younger brother Tom, already qualified for the French championship, the latter having brilliantly distinguished himself in the various preparatory tournaments in Brittany in recent months. He won his ticket thanks to two victories and a second place in this same category.

Two tournaments before France on March 25

“We are delighted with this double participation. The emulation existing between these two fighters remains their best asset to go far in the competition”, underlines Aldo Jouanny and Anne-Sophie Dartois, coaches at the club. In the meantime, they will participate in the Vendée tournaments, on February 18, and Orleans, a fortnight later. The big meeting will take place on Saturday 25 March.
