Roussillon wasted the easiest goal option of 2023 against the empty goal

Jerome Roussillon, a player for Union Berlin in Germany, missed a clear goal option that went around the world because of how easy it was and which he could not achieve when the rival goalkeeper went to head and left everything served to liquidate.

The move occurred in stoppage time of the German Cup match in which Union Berlin beat Wolfsburg 2-1 and advanced to the next round.

The most unusual thing is that the player who wasted the move in question had just entered the field of play and this action was the last of the commitment. Even his classmates went to laugh with him at his misfortune.

Roussillon missed a sung goal

With the goal behind and already in the 94th minute, the Wolfsburg goalkeeper, Pavao Pervan, went up to head in a corner kick, leaving his goal unprotected in all or nothing.

The ball was left to the local defense who launched a clean and quick exit with a clear pass that left the ball on the edge of the area. It was just finishing before the empty goal.

The first to arrive was Jerome Roussillon who did not shoot first, but controlled the ball and gave him the opportunity to reach a rival defender who ended up deflecting his shot that was going to goal.

Roussillon did not believe his misfortune and fell to the ground wailing. The game was over immediately and all his teammates went to him to encourage him and mock his misfortune. Fortunately, for him, his team ended up qualifying.
