Havana, Jan 31 (PL).- A total of 71 judokas will defend the colors of Latin America and the Caribbean at the Grand Slam in Paris, led by Brazil (26), Cuba (10) and Argentina (eight).

The tournament, on February 4 and 5, also registered judokas from Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia and Uruguay.

According to the official website of the event, a total of 550 judokas from 85 countries registered.

The Latin American and Caribbean region did not get medals in the last edition of the Grand Slam in Paris, but this time it could, especially with figures from Brazil and Cuba.

In the Tashkent-2022 world championship, the Brazilians Rafaela Silva (57 kilograms) and Mayra Aguiar (78) and the Cuban Andy Granda (more than 100) were crowned.
