Cozumel, Q. Roo, February 8.- Los Mapaches were proclaimed monarchs of the consolation tournaments of the Municipal Basketball League Intermediate category, after the youth and 2007-2008 teams beat the Papas Stars and Gacelas respectively in the duels for the crowns.
The masked youth quintet beat the stellar parents by a score of 44-30 in a final duel, which except for the third quarter in which they slowed down, dominated their rivals.
For the winners, the most accurate when attacking the hoop were Carlos Uh with 17 points, Jesús Cámara with 12 (two triples) and Franco Pech with 8 (one triple).
While Christopher Gómez stood up for the defeated with 10 units. For its part, the Mapaches 2007-2008 team had to come from behind to end up beating Gacelas 44-42, led by Luis Borbón with 11 points and Enrique Pérez with 8.
Paul Manuel with 20 units, stood out for the losers.
