Preparation for the season is in full swing – for the team and fans – Guggenberger Legionnaires Regensburg

The Bundesliga season is getting closer. The right time for the team and fans to make all preparations, from pre-season games to seat reservations.

Even if it doesn’t feel like it outside right now, the baseball season is fast approaching. On Easter Sunday it starts with a home game in the Bundesliga. The Regensburg fans don’t have to wait until April to see head coach Martin Helmig’s team in action.

Kick-off against Hamburg and Haar

The pre-season games begin on March 10 in the Armin-Wolf-Arena. The Guggenberger Legionnaires bring strong opponents to the Regensburg Ballpark throughout the month. The preparatory round will start on March 10th at 6pm against the Hamburg Stealers. The Haar Disciples team joins them the next day. Then from 11 a.m. there will be a baseball match with Haar against Hamburg. At 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. the legionnaires will play against Haar and Hamburg. The first test weekend ends on Sunday with the games against Haar (11 a.m.) and Hamburg (1 p.m.).

It will continue on March 17th. Then Berlin and Bratislava are in Regensburg. After a game between the two guest teams at 4 p.m., the Guggenberger Legionnaires will play Bratislava at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the schedule is again at 11 a.m. (Berlin-Bratislava), 1 p.m. (Regensburg-Berlin) and 3 p.m. (Regensburg-Bratislava). The second round of the pre-season games will conclude on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the home team playing against Berlin.

Paderborn returns

The very hot phase of the pre-season begins with a real bang for the Guggenberger Legionnaires. On March 24, the Paderborn Untouchables will return to the Regensburg stadium (4 p.m.) Paderborn? There was something. Quite a lot, to be precise. In the recent past, of course, the rather bitter semi-final defeat for the Guggenberger Legionnaires against passionate Paderborners has been in the foreground. But of course head coach Martin Helmig in particular has a common history with the Untouchables. He brought no less than six German championships to Paderborn.

In addition to the Paderborners, the Brno Dragons team will also be at the start on the last weekend in March. The other legionnaire games will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. (against Brno) and 2 p.m. (Paderborn). Admission to all pre-season games is free.

The team should be ready for the start of the Bundesliga after this month. But for the fans, too, the hot phase of preparation is already beginning. The first phase of reservations runs until February 28th. During this time, all reservations from the previous season are still available and can be extended by the previous seat holders. From March 1st, all seats that have not been extended will go on sale.
