Espanyol Barcelona occupy the bottom of the table (15th) and are under pressure from possible relegation. The red zone is very close, only 1 unit away, and the defeat in Almeria (3-1) last weekend hurt the morale of the players of the Catalan club. This is the second setback after the failure in Bilbao (1-0) in the King’s Cup recorded in the last 3 matches of Diego Martinez’s team. Osasuna has just fallen at home against Atlético Madrid (0-1) on the last day of January 29 and recorded its first defeat of the year 2023. Qualified for the 1/2 final of the King’s Cup, the Basque club remains on 2 away draws in the Spanish championship on the grounds of Athletic Bilbao (0-0) and the red lantern Elche (1-1). Currently 8th overall just 3 points from 5th place, Europe is close at hand for this Osasuna team which has not lost to Espanyol Barcelona since February 26, 2017.
