Porzingis’ 14 points lead Wizards to victory over Timberwolves

The Wizards beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-106 (21-36, 30-23, 25-28, 38-19) on the road, getting their fourth win in the last five games.

Porzingis was on the court for 31 minutes and 57 seconds, during which he made three of nine two-point shots, one of three long-range shots and five of seven free throws. He also had five rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocked shots and three steals, finishing with a -2 +/-.

In the first quarter, the hosts were more productive, at one point gaining a 20-point advantage, but in the rest of the game, the Washington team managed to fight back and win, scoring twice as many points as the opponents in the final 12 minutes of the game.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 35 points, scoring 12 of his points in the final five minutes of the decisive quarter, forging a victory for the visitors. Kyle Kuzma and Corey Kispert added 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Among the hosts, Anthony Edwards stood out with 34 points, while Rudy Gobert, scoring 17 points and winning 19 rebounds, collected a double-double.

The “Wizards” with 28 wins and 30 losses are in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings, while the “Timberwolves” are in eighth position in the Western Conference with a 31-30 record.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks won their 12th consecutive victory. The “Bucks” beat the Chicago “Bulls” on the road with a score of 112:100 (34:24, 27:25, 24:24, 27:27), giving their opponents their sixth defeat in a row.

Giannis Adetokunbo had just two points and three assists in the win while dealing with a wrist injury, but it was enough to make him the most assisted player in Milwaukee history. Adetokunbo has amassed a total of 3,274 assists in ten seasons for the Bucks.

Brook Lopez contributed to the Bucks’ success with 33 points, while Nikola Vucevic did not save the Bulls from failure, who excelled with 22 points and 16 rebounds.

In another game, the Los Angeles “Clippers” defeated the Phoenix “Suns” with a score of 116:107 (28:23, 26:29, 37:32, 25:23).

Paul George and Terrence Mann each scored 26 points for the Clippers, while Josh Okogie led the Suns with 24 points and Devin Booker added 19 points and nine assists.
