Polish Swiatek remains firm at the top of women’s tennis after winning in Doha

Swiatek easily defeated third-ranked American Jessica Pegula (6-3, 6-0) in the final on Saturday to win the tournament for the second straight year.

This was his first title in 2023 and the twelfth of his career.

Swiatek, 21, has led the ranking since April 4 of last year, now escorted by the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka.
