OM-PSG: three behind, Mbappé and Messi holders

Christophe Galtier opts for a change of system. No four-man defense. It is well three behind that PSG will start the clasico this Sunday evening against Marseille (8:45 p.m., Prime Video), in a device which should be articulated in 3-5-2 with a low point in the middle. Without Neymar, injured in the ankle, the attack will revolve around Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé. The French striker will have to bring depth to a team that sorely lacked it during the Parisians’ last defeat at the Vélodrome (2-1), on February 8.

In the midfield, we will find Marco Verratti. The Italian is linked with Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha. Behind, Marquinhos returns with Presnel Kimpembe and Sergio Ramos at kick-off. Finally, Nuno Mendes, injured against Lille (4-3) last Sunday, is able to start in the left lane.

On the other side, Nordi Mukiele is preferred to Timothée Pembélé or Warren Zaire-Emery. The former Leipzig player has not played since his hamstring injury on January 15 in Rennes (1-0 defeat). He compensates for the absence of Achraf Hakimi.

The Parisian composition

Donnarumma – Ramos, Marquinhos (cap), Kimpembe – Mukiele, Vitinha, Verratti, Ruiz, Mendes – Messi, Mbappé
