Vienna – The reason for the abandonment of ÖTV Davis Cup player Dennis Novak in the Vilnius quarter-finals last Friday has only now become known. The 29-year-old from Lower Austria tore a double ligament in his left ankle while on course to win against Damir Dzumhur from Bosnia-Herzegovina. On the ATP tour, Austria’s currently third-best player will be out longer, probably two months.
