NBA market, Kyrie Irving ends up at the Dallas Mavericks: here’s the trade!

A few days after the official transfer request, Kyrie Irving was traded by the Brooklyn Nets. The latest news on the NBA market, in fact, concerns the now former player of the New York team who thus ends up in the ranks of the Dallas Mavericks. According to reports from Shams Charania, the trade would be composed as follows: Irving goes to Dallas in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smitha 2029 first-round draft pick, and two second-round picks (2027 and 2029).

Wojnarowski tried to give the details of how the exchange between Brooklyn and Dallas came about: today there was a sudden acceleration in the negotiations with Mark Cuban’s franchise, despite the interest of the Lakers who tried – in in some way – to put one’s checkers on the plate. That said, the Nets favored the Mavericks’ offer of a point guard and forward along with several future draft picks.

We also recall that Nico Harrison – GM of Dallas – is a former manager of Nike and has collaborated for several years with Irving himself in the development of his signature shoes. Kyrie arrives in Texas also on the wish of coach Jason Kidd who wanted to add a star to Luka Doncic. The Mavericks will carefully evaluate the behavior and performance of the point guard himself, to then understand which offer to advance to the player in the next free agency.
