Mexico for the World Baseball Classic puts on the New Era cap

Also known as “Ninth Mexico” will have three uniforms available and not two, to highlight what is special about this edition of the tournament in which there are high expectations of the team led by Benjamín Gil:

  • Local: White, the classic color of the unit, with details in green and red.
  • Visitor: Red camisole and gray pants with more green details.
  • Alternative: White base with details in Mexican pink and baby blue, a trending color for the season.

During away games, the predominant red of the shirt that the Mexican Baseball Team will wear has a special meaning, which leaves behind the green of past editions of the WBC.

Mexico puts on the New Era cap

“It is a tribute to the courage, strength, grit and fight that an entire country has, now represented by players of the stature of Julio Urias, Alejandro Kirk and Randy Arozarena, among other diamond and outfield stars. These three uniforms represent performance innovation for ballplayers; and as for the collection for sale to the public, its objective is that more and more fans, no matter how new or old they may be, bring the beautiful tradition of baseball to their lifestyle, no matter what they do, hand in hand with a brand leader with sports heritage that not only offers headwear but also apparel”, commented David Pérez, General Director of New Era Mexico & LATAM, referring to this Mexican uniform.

Each one with their respective caps, respecting the same colors of each new uniform, they stand out for including embroidered patches made with TPU technology, so that they remain visible and shiny from any angle; They correspond to the classic New Era “M” on the front, the Mexican flag on the right side, the WBC logo on the back and the famous flag of the brand on the left flank.

“Unlike the other 19 teams, which will wear New Era caps but their uniforms are made by different brands, Mexico is the only WBC roster that will wear garments fully designed and carefully manufactured by New Era. Respecting the tradition of this beloved sport, whose fans grow year after year in our territory, we wanted to maintain the classic line that has distinguished the Novena México for a long time, with the classic logo of the ‘M’ New Era inspired by the typography of the Olympic Games of 1968 and that more and more people associate with national baseball”, added Pérez in his capacity as director of the sports firm.
