Matthias Casse launches his season in Paris: ‘I’m trying to expand my technical panel by the Olympics in 2024’

This week-end, Matthias Casse will take part in the Grand Slam of Paris, France. This will be his very first tournament of 2023.

“I always approach the Paris tournament with a lot of impatience. There are a lot of supporters, including Belgians, a great atmosphere and top-level judo. I feel good and I have already proven several times that I I could beat anyone. I no longer go to a competition without aiming for the podium”indicates the Belgian judoka.

This year’s international calendar is a bit different from other years. There will be the World Cup in May, then the Masters and only at the end of the year the European Championship. These are the highlights of the season where I hope to be in good shape.”he adds.
