Matías Messi, Leo’s brother: “We are not going back to Barcelona”

Matías Messi, brother of Argentine idol Leo Messi, assured this Wednesday that we are not going back to Barcelona”, in a statement made on a ‘twitch’ channel, a statement that was later qualified by the Argentine star’s communication office, in a statement to EFE.

Matías, the eldest of Messi’s brothers, said on a channel managed by his son Tommy, that Leo is not going to return to the Barça entity and that if he did, it would be doing “a good cleaning” as “kick out Joan Laporta”, whom he described as “ungrateful, with everything that Messi gave to Barcelona”.

“For me, Barcelona began to be known for Messi, before Madrid was better known. Anyone who has the opportunity to travel to Barcelona and enter the Barcelona Museum sees that the Barcelona Museum is Messi”, Matias said.

Messi’s brother assures that he feels betrayed: “The Spanish are traitors. My mom told Lionel once: ‘They will pay you like Ronaldinho'”, assured.

At the request of EFE, from Leo Messi’s Communication Office they clarify that this statement is “An individual and personal opinion of Matías Messi, who is Leo’s brother, but whose opinion does not have to coincide with Leo’s or other relatives, friends or people close to the footballer”.
