Maarten Vandevoordt confides in his transfer to Leipzig: “I’m concentrating on Genk, and maybe also for next season”

The young goalkeeper of Racing Genk has his future written on the side of RB Leipzig. It all depends on when he will join the German team.

In a cross interview with Genko defender Mark McKenzie, Maarten Vandevoordt (20) spoke about his future, he who will join RB Leipzig since an agreement with the German club was concluded last season.

“Leipzig are a top team in Germany. They also have a good plan for me. And I can stay in Genk a bit longer to play, and gain experience. Sometimes you just feel good with the club,” said the Belgian international hopefuls.

Recently, the sports management of Leipzig slipped in the German press that Vandevoordt could finally join them the following season, while the initial deal was for a lease until June 2024 with Genk. “I remain focused on Genk this season. Maybe also for next season,” continued Vandevoordt.
