Once Caldas does not lift in the 2023 season: it was the first team to sacrifice its coach, Diego Corredor, due to poor results in the BetPlay Dimayor I-2023 League, which has it penultimate in the standings.

The leadership of the white team gave a great responsibility to Elkin Soto, a historical benchmark for the club, but who must have patience and sufficient support since he does not have experience as a coach.

Soto could not avoid elimination in the 2023 BetPlay Cup, so all that remains is to fight to get into the home runs in the League this semester.

It was for all these things that Luis Fernando Montoya, the coach who won Eleven the 2004 Copa Libertadores champion, exploded; voice authorized to speak of the ‘white white’.

Montoya was consulted this week by ‘Homeland’the main newspaper in Manizales, to find solutions to the Once Caldas crisis.

Montoya distributed criticism for everyone, starting with the leadership and its interference in sports plans. “This is for everyone to unite, but with respect for what each one does. You have to know what managers want. There we met every Monday, we talked, they gave opinions, they valued each other, but the coach made the decisions”, commented ‘El champion de la vida’, annoyed because “they can’t throw Elkin Soto into such a complicated scenario”.

Then his comments were addressed to the footballers of the albo squad. That is why he asked himself: “There are players with a lot of experience there. Where are the leaders?”

Finally, Montoya entered the controversy in Manizales under the name of Fernando Dortti, sports manager and technical assistant, accused of making Diego Corredor’s job difficult.

“And I, if I am in one of those things, I must decide if I am a sports manager or a technical assistant. It cannot be that he leaves the main team with the technical assistant and Cúcuta, to the Cup game, the headline goes, “Montoya told ‘Homeland’.
